The latest issue of "Our Planet", the flagship magazine of the United
Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), will be launched on the web on
The magazine deals with the environmental issues that face us all at the beginning of the 21st century and which were discussed at the recent Malmo Conference of the world's environment ministers. This "Our Planet"contains,amongst others: -- A message from UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan; -- Senator Robert Hill, Australia's Federal Environment Minister, on what his country is doing to conserve its natural heritage; -- Jose Maria Figueres Olsen, former President of Costa Rica, on the changes industry is making to reduce emissions of greenhouse gases; Profesor Sir Robert May, Chief Scientific Advisor to the UK Government, on challenges to biodiversity and the implications of genetic engineering; An interview with Anita Roddick, founder of The Body Shop and environmental activist; Dr. Ricardo A.
