Sustainability and Profitability in Forest Management:
Can They Coexist?
In an effort to build on this evolving framework for change, today at the
United Nations, the Rainforest
Alliance and UNEP are presenting an event in conjunction with
Kafus Environmental Industries,
a forward-thinking company specilazing in the use of tree-free fibers and
the production of sustainable wood products. Several leading figures in
the field of forestry will adddress the question: "Sustainability
and Profitability in Forest Managment: Can They Coexist? " We
believe that the answer to both questions is a resounding yes, and that
in this answer lies the future of the conservation movement.
